Monday 1/25/10
Well, I didn't have breakfast within an hour of waking but I did eat by 9:30 or so and had a whole wheat pita, cottage cheese and coffee. My weight is 297.4 and my blood sugar was 279 which is very high. A product of last nights cookies. I am hoping to have a better food day today and increased activity.

Eaters Remorse
Well, sitting here watching the coverage of Haiti on CNN. And wondering how I can could have eaten a box of girl scout cookies when others are hungry and suffering so. You would think this would be enough to curtail that behaviour. But that isn't how addiction works.
I tried to text a donation to UNICEF but it didn't work. I need to send the price of the cookies....what I should have done in the first place. Well, I mean, I have sent a donation before but what I'm saying is, eating like that is senseless.
Tomorrow I plan to get up and have a soy protein shake within an hour or rising. That will set the tone for the day. I need to work on my plan, the steps I need to take to achieve my goals.
Have a good night,
Jasmine

January 24th 2010 First Post
Having just completed a download of an entire box of the infamous "Thin Mints" into my cavernous stomach, I thought, wouldn't this be a great time to give up sugar, eat only healthy foods, exercise daily and lose about a hundred and fifty pounds??
So, there you have it. This will come as a huge blow to the junk food makers of the world but enough is definitely enough. I've been fat for about 54 years and frankly, it's wearing a little thin!
I was born a sugar addict, already addicted to sugar before I could walk. My mother, following the pediatrician's orders, fed me a formula of pet milk with caro syrup and my voracious appetite for sugar was fueled and took off from there.
Here's the thing, my sister and brother were fed the same thing and because they were blessed with a different biochemistry, they really haven't been plagued with lifelong morbid obesity and it's related medical conditions.
This is a blog about sugar addiction and my attempts to heal- mind, body and spirit and ultimately claim my birthright.
Any questions?
